A meaningful event titled “A Small Thank You to Our Mothers” was organized by the Muş Alparslan University KADEM Student Community on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The program was held on Monday, 11 May 2026, at 12:00 at Yedipınar Primary School in the Korkut district of Muş. During the event, mothers were brought together for conversations, and various refreshments and gifts were presented.
The event was organized with the aim of thanking mothers, who add value to family and social life through their self-sacrifice, meeting with the parents at the village school, and strengthening social solidarity. Within the scope of the program, it was also aimed to reach women living outside the city center, listen to their life experiences, and increase social awareness in this regard.
Within the framework of the program, university students and community members came together with mothers in a sincere atmosphere at Yedipınar Village Primary School. During the event, attention was drawn to the importance of women’s labor and motherhood in social life; conversations were held on education, the future of children, and the place of women in social life. Emotional moments were experienced during the program, in which various gifts were presented to the mothers.
The MAUN Young Red Crescent Community and the MAUN Archery Community also contributed to the event. While the Young Red Crescent Community organized various games for the students, the Archery Community presented balls to the children. At the end of the program, certificates of appreciation were presented by Dr. Lecturer Esra Çıplak, Academic Advisor of the MAUN KADEM Community, to Kadriye İmre, Principal of Yedipınar Primary School, Salih Karadeniz, Vice Principal, and Şeyma Kaçar, KADEM Representative, for their contributions to the program. The school administration also expressed their satisfaction with the event and stated that such social responsibility activities constitute an important source of motivation in rural areas. The event concluded with a group photo session and the celebration of Mother’s Day for the mothers.
