As the History Department within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Muş Alparslan University, we aim to provide research and development, education and social contribution activities with an understanding focused on effectiveness, efficiency, digitalization and quality in the light of the basic principles of history science, with the awareness of universal ethical values and social responsibility. We adopt providing our students with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as a basic principle.
Our History Department aims to support the activities of our academic staff to produce up-to-date historical knowledge and to educate our students as individuals with digital competencies and to contribute to society in this direction. In our department, education and all other processes are managed with the understanding of continuous improvement in line with the "Plan-Do-Check-Take Action (PUKÖ)" cycle. Activities that take into account the demands and expectations of internal and external stakeholders (students, graduates, sector representatives, society), comply with quality standards, and ensure that the information produced is presented for the benefit of society and relevant sectors are planned and implemented.
In this context, as the History Department:
- In accordance with the mission and vision of Muş Alparslan University and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, to make continuous efforts to ensure that our Department is an original, respected and preferred History Department that stands out with its scientific studies and educational quality at national and international levels,
- To contribute to science and technology with academic studies that are qualified at national and international levels and that advance the discipline of History,
- To carry student-centered education-training activities to national and international standards by providing strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills,
- To ensure the continuous improvement of the academic and technological infrastructure required for faculty members and students to follow national and international scientific and technological developments and to increase their digital competencies,
- To ensure that the determined targets are achieved based on the satisfaction of students, employees, faculty members, graduates and other internal/external stakeholders,
- To ensure the sustainability of social contribution activities based on university-society cooperation, where the historical knowledge produced is presented for the benefit of society and relevant sectors,
- We undertake to continuously improve governance, education, research and development, digitalization and social contribution processes in line with national and international quality standards with a quality assurance system that aims for continuous improvement.
