The History Department started its education in the 2010-2011 academic year as a formal and evening education program under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Muş Alparslan University. The department graduated its first students in the 2014-2015 academic year. Since 2015, only formal education has been provided at the undergraduate level. The aims of the History Department are to teach modern historiography techniques in the world, to develop students' skills in using historical sources, and to present comprehensive approaches to historical problems, geographical areas, and periods. In addition, our department aims to sign cooperation agreements with other history departments at national and international levels.
Our department continues its education with two professors, eight associate professors, nine assistant professors, and three research assistants.
